December 11, 2002 15:02 IST
The final report of the Joint Parliamentary Committee looking into last year's stock scam and the temporary freeze on UTI's US-64 scheme is likely to be presented in Parliament on December 19 and may fix responsibility for the scam and the muddle in the country's largest mutual fund. "The JPC has completed its work and only some minor things remain," sources said.
The report will be split into two parts-- one dealing with the stock scam and the other with the US-64 scheme--, they said in New Delhi.
While the scam report will run into over 300 pages, the report on Unit Trust of India will comprise of 175 pages, besides 200 pages of annexures, the sources said.
They said the final report of the JPC will be "quite" different from the draft report.
"The report will be comprehensive and we will fix responsibility", the sources said.
