The Siwan district administration on Wednesday banned the entry of Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi's two brothers, Sadhu Yadav and Subhas, and three others till the end of the assembly election.

The ban was imposed after receiving complaints that their presence could pose a threat to free and fair elections, District Magistrate C K Anil said.

The three others banned were jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal Member of Parliament Mohammad Shahabuddin, Janata Dal-United MP Prabhunath Singh and former JD-U MP and Lok Janshakti Party leader Kali Pandey. There are over a dozen criminal cases against them.

"If they they try to enter Siwan, they will be arrested," C K Anil told rediff.com

Siwan will go to polls on February 23 in the third and final phase of the election.

Last week, Shahabuddin was shifted from Siwan Jail to Beur Jail in Patna following the Election Commission's directives to keep him away from influencing the polls. Siwan is Shahabuddin's stronghold.
