"I am not politicising it. I only want the people of the country to know the truth. Let the people decide what is right and what is not. I am only exposing the Bharatiya Janata Party-Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh combine's fascist agenda," he told a TV channel.

On allegations that he got the Godhra inquiry report "manipulated", he said, "I have never met Justice Banerjee. He is the judge who denied me bail in the fodder scam. How can I influence him? The Cabinet wanted the report at the earliest, what is wrong with that".

Claiming that certain personnel of the Gujarat police had not cooperated with the Justice Banerjee Commission, the railway minister said the panel had the powers to direct these officers to appear. If they still do not, then warrants for their arrest will be issued", Lalu was quoted as saying.
