What: Applications are invited for admission to M Phil course for the year 2008-09, University of Pune.

Eligibility

Second Class Master's Degree in relevant subject.

Reservation criteria

As per Government of Maharashtra rules 50 per cent seats are reserved for SC, ST, DTNT, OBC & 3 per cent seats are reserved for physically handicapped students.

Course details

M Phil courses are available in the following subjects:

Marathi, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Prakrit & Pali, German, French, Russian, History, Politics, Philosophy, Sociology, Defence and Strategic Studies, Library Information Science (Regular & Vacational), Education (Regular and Vacational), Physical Education (Regular & Vacational), Physics, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Statistics, Basic Medical Sciences, School of Health Sciences, Chemistry, Electronic Science, Commerce.

Application form is available and can be downloaded from the University Web site www.unipune.ernet.in

Processing fee of application for the open category student is Rs 400 and for all other reserved categories is Rs 300. This fee is not refundable. The processing fee should be in the form of demand draft payable to the 'Registrar, University of Pune, Pune 411 007' drawn on any nationalised bank in Pune. On the back side of the demand draft, students has to write processing fee, full name, address and related department name.

Important date

Application form duly filled in along with the demand draft should reach the respective head of the University department on or before: July 21.
