i-flex CEO's case postponed to May 2

April 11, 2003 19:48 IST

A London court on Friday has postponed to May 2, the hearing in the extradition case of Senthil Kumar, chief of the Dutch subsidiary of Indian software firm i-flex solutions Ltd.

Senthil Kumar is facing charges of alleged violation of Dutch visa rules. The case, scheduled for Friday, was put off by Magistrate Workman at the Bow Street Court as the Dutch side was not ready with the necessary paperwork.

Kumar spent a week at the Brixton jail in South West London after he was arrested on March 26 following an Interpol alert over a complaint filed against his company in Amsterdam.

The complaint charged that 14 of i-flex's employees were working in the Netherlands without proper work permits.

Kumar was granted bail on April 2 by Magistrate Workman on a bond of £20,000 with the directive that he should not leave London city till the disposal of the case.
