Sensex zooms 109 points at close

The Sensex bounced from a low of 4,600, and rallied sharply to a high of 4,772 -a swing of 172 points.
The index finally closed the session with a neat gain of 109 points ( 2.34%) at 4,757.
While 24 scrips advanced with a volume of 3.67 crore and value of Rs 1,349 crore, six declined with a volume of 17 lakh for Rs 41 crore.
Reliance advanced more than 3% (Rs 14) to Rs 472. HLL was up more than 2% (Rs 4) at Rs 187. ITC was up 1.5% (Rs 13) at Rs 857.
Infosys added more than 3% (Rs 148) to Rs 4,558. Satyam vaulted 10% (Rs 27) to Rs 297.
HPCL zoomed 5% (Rs 16) to Rs 337. SBI was up Rs 7 at Rs 492.
Grasim zoomed 5% (Rs 37) to Rs 736. ACC and Gujarat Ambuja also moved up, but L&T declined Rs 5 to Rs 391.
Tata Motors jumped nearly 5% (Rs 17) to Rs 377. Bajaj and Hero Honda also finished in positive zones.
Dr. Reddy's gained 1.7% (Rs 19) to Rs 1,125. Cipla and Ranbaxy also finished with gains.
Zee gained 4.5% (Rs 6) to Rs 142. BSES advanced more than 5% (Rs 21) to Rs 431. ICICI Bank, HDFC and Hindalco also finished at higher levels today.
