The agitation of airport workers against 'privatisation' of Delhi and Mumbai airports entered the third day in New Delhi on Friday despite the high court order restraining them from disrupting in any manner the functioning of airports.
Flights operated on schedule while demonstrations by trade unions continued just outside the arrival terminal at the domestic airport, the same place where it was being held for the past two days.
Police and paramilitary forces have been deployed in large numbers at the airport.
"We are yet to receive a copy of the High Court order. We can take a decision only after we see the order," S R Santhanam, President of the Airport Authority Employees Union said.
A delegation of leaders from Left parties are expected to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh later on Friday to discuss the issue of 'privatisation' of airports and the agitation by airport employees.
