Panun Kashmir leader meets Musharraf

Panun Kashmir convenor Agnishekhar on Saturday became the first Kashmiri Pandit leader to get an audience with a Pakistani president.

Agnishekhar met General Pervez Musharraf at the lunch hosted in the latter's honour by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Taj Palace Hotel and told him about the plight of Kashmiri Pandits.

"I introduced myself as a refugee representing 350,000 Kashmiri Pandit migrants," Agnishekhar told PTI.

"We hold your country responsible for our plight," the Panun Kashmir leader told Musharraf as Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Union Home Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani and other Indian dignitaries watched.

On Musharraf's response, he said the Pakistan president said: "Kuch karna padega, kuch to karna hi padega."
