The separatist leader was held after two persons, who were arrested with $100,000, claimed that the money was meant for him. He was remanded to 7 days' police custody on March 26.
Malik was taken from Jammu to Udhampur and produced in the court of chief judicial magistrate, who extended the remand. He was later brought back to Jammu.
Meanwhile, the Jammu high court directed that Malik be examined by the medical board, which had earlier examined him on the direction of CJM, Udhampur.
The high court gave the direction on a writ petition filed by senior Hurriyat leader Abdul Ghani Lone on Tuesday.
