He also dismissed as mischievous DMK's appeal to Andipatti voters not to vote ruling AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa as it would mean that she would replace Panneerselvam, a local-lad representing the Thevar community, as chief minister.
He will commence campaign in Andipatti on Wednesday, Panneerselvam said. "I will ask the people to vote for Jayalalithaa, to enable her to become chief minister as per the mandate given to her in the May assembly elections," he said.
