Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who sustained minor injuries in a mine blast triggered by the People's War, was brought to Hyderabad by a special plane from Tirupati on Thursday.

In the morning, he was discharged from the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, Tirupati, after doctors conducted a check-up and declared that he was fit to travel.

Naidu's ministerial colleagues, Telugu Desam Party legislators, members of Parliament and party functionaries were present at the airport in the morning.

Doctors from the Apollo Hospital and Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences were also there to examine him.

Amidst tight security, Naidu was taken to his Jubilee Hills residence.

The CM had sustained a hairline fracture on his right collarbone and injuries to his nose and chest when the mine blast hit his convoy at Alipiri Road, at the foothills of Tirumala, on Wednesday.

State Information Technology Minister B Gopalakrishna Reddy and TDP legislators R Rajasekhar Reddy and Ch Krishnamurthy, besides their car driver, Srinivasa Raju, were injured.

The condition of Rajasekhar Reddy continued to be critical and he was reported to be in coma at SVIMS.

Gopalakrishna Reddy, Krishnamurthy and Raju were declared out of danger.
