INS Agray towed back to naval dockyard

INS Agray, which was damaged while participating in an anti-submarine exercise in the Arabian Sea last week, was towed back safely to the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai.

The damaged ship was escorted back by INS Matanga, INS Nireekshak and INS Vidhyagiri, an Indian Navy release said in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Arrangements have been made at the Naval Dockyard to carry out necessary repairs to the ship and make her operational.

A high level board of inquiry comprising specialists from Naval Armament, Construction, Engineering and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) departments has been ordered to ascertain the cause of accident.
