Salman Khan plays hero in real life

Salman Khan proved samaritan for two youths who were involved in a car accident in front of the actor's house in suburban Bandra in Mumbai late on Tuesday night.

Khan rushed to help three youths trapped in a car that crashed on an electric pole in front of Galaxy Apartments. He removed them from the car and took them to the nearby Lilawati Hospital, police said.

Unfortunately, one of them, Anzar Darvesh (17), succumbed to injuries while his brother Turaib Darvesh (21) and friend Raunak (20) are recuperating in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. Turaib is studying abroad and was in India on a vacation.

The actor informed the Darvesh family and stayed in the hospital till the next morning to ensure proper care to the injured.

Salman Khan had landed into a controversy in September 2002 when he was booked for reckless driving leading to an accident and the death of one person and injuries to some people who were sleeping in front of American Express Bakery in Bandra.
