The fourth spell of rains, under the influence of cyclonic storm 'Fanoos', has begun since Friday night, affecting normal life of the people in Tiruchirapalli.

The Tamil Nadu government has declared Tiruchirapalli as one among the 22 flood affected districts.

The district administration has declared a holiday Saturday for all the educational institutions in the district in view of torrential downpour.
