It was a happy ending for a 21-year-old bride from Pratapgarh, who finally returned to her matrimonial home after a 'fresh' nikah was performed to rectify an earlier faux pas.
The error in question involved the use of her brother-in-law's name instead of her husband's, on her marriage certificate.
The nikah was conducted at the bride's house, with both sides deciding not to wait for an edict from the Islamic seminary Dar-u-loom Deoband, that they had approached earlier for a resolution.
