Irfan Khan, the Saharanpur-based doctor who was arrested for his alleged links with the terrorists who attacked the Ram temple on July 5, was brought to Ayodhya on Monday by the police for interrogation.

Khan has been brought to Ayodhya on transit remand and would be produced before the court of the chief judicial magistrate under tight security arrangements, Senior Superintendent of Police Avinash Chandra said.

Chandra said the accused would be asked about the links of the terrorists with locals in Faizabad.

Khan was arrested from his village in Saharanpur on July 22 on charges of having close links with the terrorists.
