Congress member of Parliament from Amethi, Rahul Gandhi [Images], on Wednesday said he had prepared his own strategy to ensure his constituency's development since not much help could be expected from the Uttar Pradesh government.

"With the help of the Centre and my MP's local area development fund, I am trying to implement development works in Amethi as I have accepted the fact that the state government will not help much in this regard," Rahul told reporters in Amethi after laying the foundation stone for 15 link roads, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 6.16 crore.

Asked whether he was satisfied with the work done in Amethi after completing one year as MP, he said he could never be satisfied on this count, and pointed out that work was being done in the areas of road development, power and education.

"Centre ki madad se, in sab kshetron mein kaam ho raha hai (work is being done in all these areas with the assistance of the Centre)," he said.
