Relatives of five Hindus and Sikhs, who crossed over to Muzaffarabad in Karwan-e-Aman bus on October 6, have asked the external affairs ministry about the well being of their wards as a massive quake cut off communication out of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
"We urge the central and state government, particularly the external affairs ministry to let us know what their status is," a family member told PTI.
Advocate Jaspinder Singh, son of one Kripal Singh Bhandari said he has lost communication links with our father after earthquake on Saturday.
"We are very worried over the fate of the father, who is 86-year-old now. We have tried to get him on the phone several times but were told that communication set up across the Line of Control is dead," Jaspinder said.
For the first time since it rolled out in April this year, non-Muslims boarded the Muzaffarabad-bound bus with four Sikhs and three Hindus among the 25 passengers travelling to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
