Two persons, including at 11-year-old boy, were injured in Chinnasalem village when parcel bombs received by them exploded, police said.

In the first incident, a parcel originating from Tiruchirapalli was addressed to one Chintamani. It contained a fancy torch. The torch exploded when it was plugged in, injuring Chintamani's husband Alagarasan. He has been admitted to Kallakurichi Government Hospital.

In the second incident, Pichan received a parcel with a cell phone charger and left it at home while he went to the fields. When his 11-year-old son Kadiresan picked it up, it exploded. The boy has been admitted to Pondicherry Government Hospital.
