Thirty-eight persons identified

Thirty-eight persons, including six women and two children, out of those killed in the twin blasts in Hyderabad, have been identified, hospital sources said on Sunday.

Officials said 40 people were killed in the blasts. Earlier they had said 42 were dead.

The 54 injured, six of them seriously, were undergoing treatment at different hospitals in the city.

Of the 32 bodies that were shifted to the mortuary of Osmania General Hospital, 31 -- including that of six women -- have been identified while two bodies are yet to be identified, hospital sources said.

All the seven bodies at Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad have been identified.

Seven students of the Amritvahini engineering college of Maharashtra and three railway employees from Madhya Pradesh were among the deceased, police sources said.
