A day after the Central Bureau of Investigation took over the probe into the gruesome serial killing of children and women in Nithari village, a team of the central investigating agency arrived in Noida to take charge of the investigation.

A three-member team of CBI arrived in Noida, and was holding discussions with Noida police officials.

The CBI on Wednesday re-registered some of the 19 cases of killings reported in Nithari, in which Mohinder Singh Pandher and Surendra Koli are the main suspects.

A team of Noida police had come to the CBI's headquarters on Wednesday, and handed over all details pertaining to the case to the agency.

The CBI's entry into the investigations in the case followed three days of sparring between the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh government over issuing a formal notification on the issue.
