The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday filed its sixth chargesheet in the Nithari serial killing of women and children against domestic help Surinder Koli for raping and murdering a nine-year-old girl, but again came up with no charges against businessman Mohinder Singh Pandher.

According to the chargesheet filed in the court of Special Judge Sapna Mishra in Ghaziabad, the CBI said Koli had lured nine-year-old Rachna Lal while she was on her way to play on April 10, 2006.

The chargesheet mentioned that Pandher was not in the house and was in Punjab from April 8 to April 14, 2006, according to his mobile records and witnesses.

The CBI earned the wrath of the public for not naming Pandher in the five chargesheets it filed earlier, with some victims approaching the local court to seek directions to the agency to re-investigate the case.

Koli gave his confessional statement under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code before a magistrate, and this was enclosed by the CBI along with the chargesheet.

The evidence in this case was the recovery of Lal's skull from the D-5 house where Koli was a domestic help. This was identified by the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics in Hyderabad after matching it with DNA samples from her father.

Some of Lal's clothes were also found in the house and identified by her father Papu Lal.

CBI has booked Koli for the abduction, rape and murder of Lal, who went missing since 1030 hours of the fateful day.

After allegedly committing the gory crime, Koli dumped her body in the backyard of the house.
