The Uttar Pradesh government will conduct an inquiry into the CD purportedly containing conversations between Vishwanath Chaturvedi and a journalist. It on Chaturvedi's PIL that the Supreme Court directed a probe against Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and his family members in the disproportionate assets case.

The governemnt decision follows a direction by Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey after the matter was raised in the House
on Monday.

The BJP members, however, staged a walk-out, saying that the House was being misused by the ruling party to denounce the apex court.

Raising the matter in the House, Samajwadi Party member Chote Lal alleged that the CD contained objectionable comments not only on the Supreme Court judges but also on Yadav and his family members and urged the speaker to take stern action.

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Khan alleged that Congress was behind the conspiracy and charged the latter with trying to instigate a 'civil war' in the country by provoking the SP supporters.

He alleged that Chaurvedi had also committed a forgery by submitting fake identity cards issued by different parties and their office bearers with his affidavit in the apex court.
