The Nandigram issue continued to disrupt proceedings in the Rajya Sabha for the sixth day on Wednesday, forcing adjournment of the House till April 26.
As soon as the proceedings started, Bharatiya Janata Party members were on their feet demanding suspension of the Question Hour and taking up discussion on the Nandigram police firing incident.
They also raised slogans against West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.
Congress and Left members were seen countering the BJP.
When some BJP members tried to move to the well of the House, Shekhawat said, "Don't come to the well or you will regret it."
As the din continued, Shekhawat adjourned the House till 1200 hours, minutes after the House met for the day.
Wednesday is the last day of the first phase of the budget session in Rajya Sabha. The first phase of budget session of Lok Sabha concluded on Tuesday.
