The situation in Jammu and Kashmir is contrary to what is being propagated in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir by militant leaders of different outfits, two Lashkar-e-Tayiba militants arrested by security forces in frontier district of Kupwara said on Thursday.

"Militants in Pakistan and PoK are motivating youth to go for jehad (holy war) in Kashmir...We are told there that army terrorises common Kashmiris, insults women and does not allow them to offer prayers in mosques," the two militants Mohammad Yasin and Akhtar-ul-Islam told media persons at Sharifabad, headquarters of Kilo Force, in Srinagar.

The two Pakistani nationals, who were nabbed by troops of Rashtriya Rifles in Kupwara last evening, said, "Life is going on smoothly in Kashmir. Army is not terrorising anyone."

Yasin and Islam said there was one militant training camp at Aksa in Muzaffarabad, capital of PoK, where youth from different parts of Pakistan and PoK are being trained.

However, Pakistani army personnel are not imparting training to recruits.

"The handling of arms is being given by mujahids of different outfits," they said.

Pakistani militants, who had returned to their country after spending time in Kashmir, are being used by the militant leadership to motivate youths for 'jehad' in Kashmir, they said, adding that funds are being raised from the common man.

Earlier, General Officer Commanding Kilo Force Major General Rajinder Singh said the two were part of a seven member group who had infiltrated across the LoC on April 21.

On being challenged, the ultras fired and fled. One of them was killed during the encounter while the rest managed to escape. Two of the terrorists fell in a drain and died while three ultras moved towards Rajwar area.

One of the terrorist was killed during a subsequent encounter while the two who managed to escape were caught on Wednesday.
