International Atomic Energy Agency Chief Mohammed ElBaradei, arrived in Mumbai late on Monday night on a three-day visit to India in the midst of the United Progressive Alliance government's failure to get the nod of the Left parties to go ahead with negotiations with the UN atomic watchdog to help implement the Indo-US nuclear deal.
ElBaradei will have talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] and other Indian leaders in Delhi even as the government's standoff with the Left on the nuclear deal escalated further.
During his stay in Mumbai, ElBaradei will visit the Advanced Centre for Treatment Research and Education in Cancer at Kharghar in Navi Mumbai and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre where he will interact with India's top nuclear officials.
At the cancer centre in Kharghar, he will see the functioning of the indigenously developed teletherapy machine the 'Bhabhatron version II'.
One such machine has been donated by India to IAEA for cancer treatment in an hospital in Vietnam.
