Sanjay Dutt's [Images] days outside jail might soon be over as the actor will have to surrender before the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act court, which has summoned him on October 20, if he gets a copy of the judgment of his conviction in the arms possession case.

If the special TADA court Judge Pramod Kode gives Dutt a copy of the judgment, the actor will have to surrender before the court on the same day.

The Supreme Court had granted him bail on August 20 till the time he gets a copy of the judgment.

Dutt, convicted for possessing arms that came as part of contraband smuggled in by conspirators of the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, was sentenced to six years of rigorous imprisonment.

Advocate Farhana Shah, who acted as amicus curae during the trial, confirmed that the TADA court has asked Dutt to remain present on October 20.

"But it is not known whether he will get the judgment copy that day," she said.

The court has summoned all the convicts in the case on October 18, 19 and 20.
