Imran and Kaleem, the two suspects arrested by the police in connection with the Mecca Masjid blasts of May 18, were subjected to a narco analysis test in Bangalore on Tuesday.

According to the police, the results of the test will be helpful in cracking the twin blasts case as well as in gathering more information about the Mecca Masjid blast. The police are also hopeful of obtaining information about their links and operations in India.

The duo was reportedly detained based on the information given by Sameer, another accused who was arrested in Kolkata. The police say that Sameer was actively involved in helping people infiltrate the Indo-Bangladesh border.

Both the Mecca Masjid blast and the twin blasts are believed to be the handiwork of HuJi, the Bangladesh wing of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba.

The narco analysis test will also aim at gathering information about the whereabouts of Bilal, who allegedly masterminded the Mecca Masjid blast as well as the recent twin blasts.

This is the second time that a narco analysis test is being conducted on Hyderabad blast suspects. Earlier, a similar test was conducted on Sameer, who had admitted that there were several training camps on the Indo-Bangladesh border. He had said that these camps were run by the Lashkar-e-Tayiba.

Sameer had also revealed that Rs 10 lakh is paid for larger terrorist operations while Rs 3-4 lakh is paid for the smaller ones. Sameer also admitted that south India had become a favourite target for terrorists.
