Imran Khan, one of the accused in the Hyderabad blasts will be subject to a second narco analysis test on Friday.

The investigating agencies feel more information can be extracted from him.

A police officer told rediff.com that if they manage to elicit all the information available with Imran then both the Mecca Masjid blast and twin blasts cases could be solved in record time.

While the first round of tests on Imran, an executive with a bank, focused more on his links with the alleged mastermind Bilal also known as Shahid, the second test would probe more into the terror nexus in the country.

Investigating agencies say that Imran has a lot of details regarding the terror nexus in South India and also about the sleeper cells in the country. The investigating team feels that if information regarding the terror modules are extracted, then it would help in curbing future attacks.

Sources told rediff.com that Imran was more of an agent than a hardcore terrorist. It was the need for money and not ideology that drove him towards this line. It is said that he was not able to support his family with the salary he drew.

Imran reportedly was paid over Rs 5 lakh for ensuring a safe passage of the RDX into Hyderabad which was used in the Mecca Masjid blasts.

Imran during the first test had said that Bilal was the mastermind in the blasts. Apart from this he had also revealed that the perpetrators of the recent blasts were still in Hyderabad.

He also confessed during the tests that he had stored 10 kg of RDX in his house and passed it on.

Apart from this Imran had also said that there could be more attacks in Hyderabad. This is the angle that the police are also trying to probe into and hence have sought a second test.
