In a vituperative attack on the United States House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her 'stubborn anti-China sentiment on Tibet' [Images], the state media called her the least popular person in the Communist nation, who flagrantly interfered in its internal affairs.

A commentary run by the official Xinhua news agency accused Pelosi of being uneasy  about China's peaceful rise.

Pelosi had angered Beijing [Images] when she met the Dalai Lama in India recently and gave her solid backing to the Tibetan movement. Her initiative in proposing a US House resolution on Tibet, urging Beijing to end its crackdown, has further infuriated China which has slammed it as rude inteference in its internal affairs.

The commentary, which accused Pelosi of having stubborn anti-China sentiments, said that from meeting the Dalai Lama [Images] to urging US President George W Bush [Images] not to attend the Beijing Olympics [Images] opening ceremony, she had never hesitated to flagrantly interfere in China's internal affairs with double standards. "However her show was anything but wise," it said.

"Pelosi would remain the least popular person for China if she stiff-neckedly clings to her double standards and anti-China stance", it said, adding she is detested by the Chinese.
