The Rajasthan police along with Central security agencies have detained two persons, including a doctor, in connection with the May 13 serial blasts in Jaipur [Images] that left over 60 people dead.

Within days of the Gujarat police's claim that it had solved the July 26 serial blasts case, the two suspects were picked up from Tonk district, 96 km from Jaipur, and were being questioned by a joint team of the Rajasthan police and Central agencies.

Sources in the investigating team alleged that the doctor, who had completed his internship from All India Institute of Medical Sciences in July this year, had helped the terror group in procuring ammonium nitrate, the explosive material used in the May 13 serial blasts.

Serial blasts rocked Jaipur when militants triggered blasts at seven places in which 68 people were dead and over 150 injured. Indian Mujahideen [Images], believed to be a shadow conglomerate of Students Islamic Movement of India and Lashkar-e-Tayiba, had claimed responsibility for the attack.

The doctor had remained absent from AIIMS two days before the blasts rocked Jaipur, the sources said, adding, it was not immediately clear that whether he has been placed under arrest.
