The report of the inquiry committee that went into the alleged cash-for-vote scam during the July 22 trust vote will be tabled in Lok Sabha on Monday.

The report was earlier supposed to be presented on Thursday. However, it was put off by a day in view of the discussion on Mumbai terror attacks [Images].

"The report is ready. It's taking time in printing," Senior Congress MP V Kishore Chandra Deo, who is heading the probe committee, told media persons outside Parliament.

In its report, the committee is understood to have suggested that the money trail could be probed by an investigating agency like CBI or the Income Tax Department. The 600-page report will carry evidence given by witnesses and verbatim transcriptions of sittings as also the 'dissent' notes by BJP's V K Malhotra, Mohd Salim (CPI-M) and Ramgopal Yadav (SP).

The committee was set up by Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee [Images] after three BJP MPs -- Ashok Argal, Fagan Singh Kulaste and Mahavir Bhagora -- displayed wads of currency notes in the House alleging that huge sums were offered to them to save the Manmohan Singh [Images] government.

The three BJP MPs had alleged that Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh [Images] and Congress leader Ahmed Patel were behind the attempt to lure them to the ruling side. Singh and Patel have, however, denied the charges.

While Argal and Kulaste have appeared before the panel, Bhagora could not do so as he was suffering from heart ailment.
