As a part of confidence building measures between the two countries, 191 people of divided Indian and Pakistani families were allowed to cross over the Line of Control at Chakan-da-Bagh point in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir [Images] on Monday. A total of 93 persons crossed over to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir while 98 persons from PoK visited India to meet their relatives as they travelled by the trans-border bus service, official sources told PTI.
Among the 93 who crossed from the Indian side to the PoK, 46 were from Jammu and Kashmir and the remaining were PoK residents, who returned after staying with their relatives in Jammu and Kashmir.
They included three members of a Hindu family in Rajouri -- Vaid Prakash, his son Saroop Lal and nephew Ashok Kumar. Of the 98 people who came to the Indian side of the border, 60 were PoK residents, who will travel to J&K, and 38 Indians, who returned after spending a fortnight with their relatives.
