Reinforcing the suspicion that SIMI [Images] and Indian Mujahideen [Images] were behind the string of terror attacks in the country, Rajasthan police on Monday claimed that the four terrorists arrested in connection with Delhi [Images] blasts were also behind the serial explosions in Jaipur [Images] in May.
The Special Operation Group of Rajasthan police investigating into the May 13 blasts in Jaipur said the attacks were jointly carried out by SIMI and Indian Mujahideen.
SOG DIG Punnachammy told media persons in Jaipur that Atif, Sajjid, Junaid, Mohd Saif, who were held by Delhi Police after the recent blasts in the national capital, along with Khalid, Arif, Sahadab, Bada Sajjid, Salman and two others had carried out the serial blasts in a planned manner.
Giving details of the planning and execution of Jaipur blasts, he said that on May 11, all 11 men boarded a Rajasthan Roadways Volvo bus from Bikaner House in Delhi at 0800 hours and reached Jaipur's main bus stand at Sindhi Camp at 1300 hours.
Thereafter, they constituted three teams -- two of three members each and another of four members comprising Salman, Safiq and another unidentified person. The group was headed Atif.
The second team constituted of Sahabad, Khalid and the other unidentified person and the third team consisted of Sajjid, Saif and Chotta Sajjid.
Both Chotta Sajjid and Atif were killed in an encounter with police encounter in Delhi on Friday.
