FIFA has provisionally lifted the suspension imposed on Yemen's football association (YFF) in August.
"As a result of this decision, the YFF is once again entitled to participate in FIFA competitions and all forms of cooperation can be reassumed," FIFA said on Wednesday.
World soccer's ruling body said its emergency committee made the decision this week following a report by Mohamed bin Hammam, president of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), on his visit to Yemen in mid-September.
FIFA had imposed the suspension for what it called serious interference by political authorities in the internal affairs of the YFF.
"In reaching their decision, the emergency committee took account of the fact that the Yemeni political authorities, led by the Minister for Youth and Sport, have pledged their support and given their written consent to all necessary steps," a FIFA statement said.
Yemen are ranked 131 in the world.
