Does India have the bowling to do well in the WC?

Message: Nope. Indian bowlers are neither mentally nor physicaly tough. The only so called bowlers who are tough arent exactly bowlers. Anil kumble finds place in indian team only for his past records not the current form. Harbhajan singh isnt a one day bowler. Agarkar has his days mostly bad. Srinath wants to be an all rounder not a bowler. Khan is like hoggard from england maintians a decent line and length but can be expensive at time. nehra needs bowlers wickets he cant bowl on flat wickets. I suggest india plays with 11 batsmen and chase what ever target they are set. Only then they might reach the super 6 stage

Message: Well, I don't think we stand too much of a chance if we rely upon our bowlers in the World Cup. The bowling attack that we possess can be described decent at the best of times leave alone when the going is tough as then it can become an embarassment. However, I do hope that since the WC is being played at SA, our bowlers would be able to show better performances than they have in the recent past. Out of the present crop I would say that only Zaheer is the most consistent and reliable bowler. Others like Nehra, Agarkar, Srinath etc. are very inconsistent and that is the most worryimg factor, if you happen to be an Indian supporter.

Message: There isnt much thinking to be done as far as batting goes maybe promoting sachin to open with shewag and ganguly coming down at 4. Bowling is the weak part. I feel we have way to many attacking bowlers. Ajit is an ok bowler if he bowls after 15th over. Zaheer can get wickets and contain. Srinath has bowled lot better is the last two matches. I am surprised at kumbles performance our one time match winner cant get wickets or even contain batsman. I think he needs to go back to the net and seek help from some expert as to where he is going wrong. Indian team could also try Venkatesh and debashish mohanty. I wonder what happened to soodhi the last i heard or read was he was injured. I think they could try some tear away fast bowler(ie if we have one in this country)even if he has a bad line and length. I guess he could be asked to bowl short and quick and place a few fielders in deep. Might just work.

Message: yah ,definitely..india have a good enough strenth and in depth bowling attack.. india will become the most dangerous in the next worldcup in bowling side too...zaheer and agarkar are good seamers and nehra will bowl good seam ..all of know about srinath in south africa,how he performed in southafrica in 1996... it is better to have ventatesh prasads in squad ..becpz he is best bowler ..who bowlwd well for india in southafrica..

Message: No i don't think that india has adequate bowling strength when compared to other bowling giants like SA and AUS.We have Zaheer Khan but even he has been plagued by injuries lately while old horse srinath is getting rusty although he is still the best fast consistent bowler we have.We have to find other bowling options in the run before the WC.I hope we will find someone.If we do then there will be some company for Khan.As you have seen Agarkar can't be trusted upon.I hope india win the world cup this time.Its been a helluva time since we ever had a glimpse of it.Its high time that we win it.Jai Hind.

Message: NO! we do not have a good bowling line-up. we have a "descent" one or which can be said NOT-BAD. Agarkar is good only in parts. he has to know the power of "consistency in line and length" so do the other bowlers. they all bowl 2 good balls in an over but fritter away the advantage in the other 4 whihc are wayward and there to be hit. Practice, practice and practice is waht is needed, not selection of different fast bowlers.

There are bowling talents in INDIA we dont want to give them chance and that too delibrately. there are bowlers who can be developed such d. mohanti, t. yohanan, laxmiratan shukla,m. kartik, atram allrounder R. Singh Sodhi. Give these players a chance. dont forget Srinath karnataka mate V. Prasad , he can also be good bet. wicketkeeper V. Dahiya can also be good options along with P. Patel.

Message: I think india should try out some more bowlers before the world cup. I really think that zaheer khan, nehra and srinath should play. I batting order i think tendulkar and sehwag should open first cuz if these two batsman get along with the opponent bowlers then they can put a good score on board.

Message: With Zaheer/ Srinath & Kumble/harbajan, added by the fact that Ganguly, Sehvag, Sachin and a few other of our batsmen can contribute to the bowling... we do have a decent bowling line up with a bit of variation, but what is missing in our bowling line up is a bowler with a killer instinct. this is perhaps why we despite on paper having a very versitile team, dont manage to have an effective bowling line up! I think as for our batting, our Sachins's , Ganguli's and Sehvag's fierry killer instinct gives us the edge to match up to any score, we do need to find a bowler in the department, who can produce a similar situation with the ball. A lot was indeed focussed on finding some good batsme & that has been achieved very successfully, now what we need to stress on is a bowler who can mentally and physically wreck any team on the other side!!!
