Form guide: India

Spinners: I don't see the spinners playing a huge part in the game. They can be hit square of the wicket, the boundaries are much shorter there, easily. If I had a choice for the team, there would be no Kumble -- instead I would maybe have another seamer in the team.

India, I think, is a shot ahead of England. Their batting gives them that lead. If we take just the bowling, on a grassy pitch, I think England have a better attack because Srinath, fine bowler that he has been, is now past his best and the other two left-armers are capable but hittable, they do spray it around a bit.

I think Caddick, Anderson, Flintoff, Ashley Giles, if he does play, and Craig White, a very good cricketer, they all give England the better attack.
