Zimbabwe vs Kenya, Bloemfontein

• Henry Olonga became the 15th Zimbabwean and the 268th player in LOI history to appear in 50 matches. Olonga had made his debut on 21-10-1995 against South Africa at Harare.
• Andy Flower, during his knock of 63 runs, became the highest run scorer against Kenya in LOIs. He now has 608 runs (avg. 55.27) in 15 matches. He went past the tally of 564 runs (avg. 112.80) held by India's Sachin Tendulkar in 9 matches.
• For the first time in 15 matches between the two sides, Zimbabwe were dismissed by the Kenyans.
• Zimbabwe's 133 is its third lowest total made against the Kenyan team in LOIs. Only West Indies (93 at Pune on 29-2-1996) and Bangladesh (100 at Aga Khan ground, Nairobi on 15-10-1997) have been dismissed for lower totals by Kenya.
• Zimbabwe's total is also its lowest against a non-Test playing nation.
• Only once before Zimbabwe have been dismissed for a lower total in the WC, when Pakistan dismissed them for 123 at the Oval on 11-6-1999.
• Leg-spinner Collins Obuya now has 13 wickets in World Cup 2003, which the most taken by any Kenyan bowler in any single tournament. In the 1996 World Cup, pace bowler Rajab Ali had claimed 10 wickets.
• During his unbeaten knock of 43 runs, Thomas Odoyo became the fifth Kenyan batsman to aggregate 1000 runs in LOIs. He now has 1024 runs (avg. 21.79) in 57 matches.
• With 53 wickets to his credit, Odoyo also became the first Kenyan and the first from any from a non -Test playing nation to do the all-rounder's double of 1000 runs and 50 wickets. He also became the 47th all-rounder in LOI history to do the double of 1000 runs and 50 wickets.
• The 29-run partnership between Kennedy Obuya and Thomas Odoyo and the unbeaten 73-run partnership between Odoyo and Maurice Odumbe were Kenya's best for the fourth and fifth wickets respectively against Zimbabwe in the World Cup.
• Maurice Odumbe's quick fire unbeaten 38 in just 20 balls (S/r 190.00) was the fastest innings by a Kenyan batsman scoring at least 25 or more runs in LOIs. Odumbe had earlier made an unbeaten 34 in 24 balls (S/r 141.67) against India at Cape Town on 7-3-2003.
• This win was Kenya's first against Zimbabwe in 15 matches. Zimbabwe have won 12 of the matches.
• The win, with 24 overs (144 balls) to spare, was Kenya's second biggest in LOIs. The team had beaten Bangladesh by 33 overs (198 balls) to spare at Aga Khan ground at Nairobi on 15-10-1997.
• The 24 overs to spare defeat was Zimbabwe's biggest ever in the World Cup.  India had won with 22.3  overs (135 balls) to spare at Leicester on 11-6-1983. However this was a 60-over match. India had also won a 50-over match at Mumbai on 17-10-1987 with  22.1 overs (133 balls) to spare.
• This was Martin Suji's second man of the match award in 56 matches. His only other such award came against Bangladesh at Nairobi (Aga) way back on 15-10-1997. He had then claimed 4-24.
