Calcutta police confirm missing Exide chief was kidnapped

The Calcutta Police finally made a breakthrough in the Satyabrata Ganguly kidnapping case.

Exide CMD S B Ganguly The police admitted that the Exide chairman and managing director was kidnapped and claimed to have traced him.

Late evening, West Bengal Home Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, remarked, "Wait for a few hours (for more details)", Deputy Commissioner (the detective department) Narayan Ghosh was more specific.

Ghosh admitted that Ganguly has been kidnapped and said, "We have found evidence at some places that he was there probably a few hours before we reached. He has been kidnapped but not for a ransom."

He said that the reason might be personal rivalry.

The Exide chairman was kidnapped on Friday morning and till date, the police had no clue about his whereabouts.
